Building the future of entertainment.

Starlings is a production and financing group founded in 2017 and based in Montreal, Los Angeles, and London. Our work includes the Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning film ROCKETMAN, the musical biopic of Sir Elton John; the Canadian Screen Award-winning crime action series DEPARTURE starring Emmy Award-winner Archie Panjabi and the late Academy Award-winner Christopher Plummer; and the hit series SHERLOCK & DAUGHTER starring Emmy-nominee David Thewlis and Blu Hunt.

Like our namesake, we are aiming for higher perspective, synchronicity and agility. No matter the scale of the project, we use our skills in collaboration and adaptation to support bold content and character-driven stories.

Creativity is our craft. Execution is our edge. Emotional audience engagement is our signature.

How we work.

We produce premium content, optimizing production value and empowering creators by leveraging technological innovation, partnering with legacy studios and disruptive gamechangers, and retaining ownership of IP across its full lifecycle from script to distribution. We utilize an adaptable financing approach, incorporating a range of funding sources including private equity, tax incentives, pre-sales, and media buys.
